That being said, in your example, it would be Mormons criticizing Mormons for their belief, not ex-Mormons criticizing ex-Mormons. It’s never wrong to speak the truth, even if you’re on the wrong side of it.
It’s the hypocrisy.
An example: ex-mormons can criticize current Mormons for their current beliefs. Ex-mormons can’t criticize other ex-mormons for their previous briefs.
