“He’s doing a good job,” Trump saidabout the Israeli leader. “Biden is trying to hold him back, just so you understand, Biden is more superior to the VP. He’s trying to hold him back, and he probably should be doing the opposite, actually. I’m glad that Netanyahu decided to do what he had to do, but it’s moving along pretty good.”

Just a reminder to those “Biden and Harris are participating in genocide, it’s not like Trump could be any worse” crowd.

    It can always get worse.

That crowd is well aware that it can get worse, but political change sometimes means wading through some sewage in order to walk yourself out of it, rather than standing still in it and saying “it could be worse, like Trump worse, so maybe floating turds are not so bad.”

Whats to stop the next election from being exactly the same as this one, with hand picked AIPAC candidates on both sides?

The only thing they said is “Trump is worse than Biden.” You yourself agreed with that. So why are you demonising them for things they haven’t said?

Honestly, the fact you’re reacting so strongly to a post calling Trump worse than Biden by saying “liberals coming here to do their pissy whataboutism” makes you sound like a Trump supporter trying to take shots at the other side without even realising that Biden ISN’T EVEN RUNNING.

You’re totally right, nothing sounds more like support for “finish the job” trump than saying our president shouldn’t turn Palestinian children into skeletons

Ig that commenter wasn’t really doing whataboutism, the article wasn’t about people protesting the genocide, sorry to that person for any aggression. Fuck tons of liberals (at least the ones I’ve seen commenting on .world) have the idea that wanting Biden to stop sending weapons that are being used for war crimes means you want trump in office, I shouldn’t have assumed that of them

Also just unbelievably fucking tired of liberals strawmanning leftists like op. No, nobody thinks trump would be better for Palestinians besides people who don’t follow American politics and don’t vote. No, protesting the genocide in Gaza doesn’t make you a russian asset. Yes, I’m voting Harris. Seeing liberals project their lack of shits given about genocide onto leftists really pisses me off, especially with the classic liberal “holier than thou” smug superiority complex they almost always have

Once again, what the fuck conversation are you responding to? If you don’t disagree with what they said, that Trump is worse than Biden, why are you spending so much time arguing with them? Please note that they never said Biden was GOOD, just that Trump was WORSE.

nobody thinks trump would be better for Palestinians besides people who … don’t vote

So, aside from the people who think that, nobody thinks that? Helpful. Do you think they’re maybe not voting because they think Trump can’t be any worse?

Please fuck off with your strawmanning OP into a person saying things they definitely didn’t say. Fuck off with your false assertion that we criticise Trump because we love Biden. Fuck off with your “I’m not a russian spy” assertion when nobody ever called you one. Fuck off with your constant smug spamming of the Palestinian flag as if we aren’t on the same fucking side.

You’re not just preaching to the choir, you’re calling the choir blasphemers and heretics. If you’re going to respond to someone, please respond to what they said, and not what you think they could have said.

258m adults in the US in 2020 about 255m in 2016

        74 223 975 votes in 2020, 62 984 828 in 2016

That’s both more than 18% and there’s no reason to believe that all people under 18 would vote against Trump.

And that’s only based on the people that bothered voting, there’s supporters that didn’t vote that should get added to that as well.

Which was a reply to a comment about support for him therefore your argument didn’t make sense in the context as shown by the fact that more than 18% of people who could vote did vote for him and you can’t show that there’s no support for him amongst those under voting age and they can’t be included when talking about votes statistics because they can’t vote.

Also the bit about victim blaming makes zero sense.

So yeah, reading comprehension, work on that.

Because the media has a profit incentive to portray it as such. The closer it is, the more people watch their coverage and the more money they can charge advertisers.

Which is bad enough in itself, but them portraying it as close and the lies of fascists as valid arguments worthy of consideration MAKES it closer than it would otherwise be, in a classic case of the tail wagging the dog.

Bottom line is that, even with the sensationalist media helping them be more competitive, they would lose every major election in 40-45 states if not for massive voter suppression.

They do NOT have the support of half of the population, or even half of that. They’re viable in spite of 80% of the population not supporting them because the system is broken in their favor.

Utter bullshit. The polling companies are often separate from the media companies. Some are even academic institutions. And they are incentivised to be accurate. Imagine being the one polling organisation that can call elections!

What y’all are misunderstanding, however, is the difference between poll numbers and probability of winning. Harris definitely polls better but due to the electoral college the probability that she wins in lower than poll numbers suggests.

              Utter bullshit

Thanks for the summation of your reply. Headlines are usually bolded and in bigger type than the body text, though…

The polling companies are often separate from the media companies. Some are even academic institutions

And there sre hundreds if not thousands from which to choose. The media choose the ones that best fit the narrative they’ve already written.

And they are incentivised to be accurate

Nope. They are incentivized to deliver the results that their customers want, regardless of accuracy.

Imagine being the one polling organisation that can call elections!

Even if doing so consistently was possible (which it isn’t), that wouldn’t be the most profitable thing to do. See above on incentive.

What y’all are misunderstanding, however, is the difference between poll numbers and probability of winning

Nope, I understand full well the difference between the popular vote, which is what’s polled, and the electoral vote which is a big part of the aforementioned system being broken in favor of the American Fascist Party AKA the GOP.

What it shows is how little our ruling parties care about wage earners, really.

Harris spent two months repeating memes instead of coming up with plans to bring wage earners into the fold, and if she loses, that’s why. You can meme about joy all day and that doesn’t put food on people’s tables.

After the votes are counted, sure. Before the votes are counted, giving your support away for nothing is crazy. Refusing to lift a finger to pressure Harris to stop the weapons shipments is a missed opportunity that people should be ashamed of. This is our once every 4 year chance to lean on the DNC and be listened to and only a small number of dems are bothering to speak up and apply any pressure whatsoever. If no one pushes anything to “represent” to our representatives, then we’re a pretty sad example of a republic, and we’re complicit in whatever illegal. immoral fuckery our leaders say they are about to do. It used to be that Dems were too good to openly support illegal fuckery, but with centrists in charge, that era has passed.

I dont think you’ve been listening to them. One more time: They are effectively the same in supporting and enabling a far right wing israeli governments war crimes. They are not the same in most other things-- although Biden is fairly close to trump on immigration and abuse of the population by law enforcement.

That should have been a disqualifying action for Biden running for future roles in government, but somehow it wasnt There are many other Dems who could have and should have had a chance to run. Its also a flagrant breaking of the Leahy laws. The fact that neither of those things had any consequences whatsoever is indicative of the DNC and our entire government being bought out by bribes. If you dont think thats a problem, then wait and see what the far right fascists buy from us next. They couldnt care less about Americans or our future.

I imagine after the election we’ll have our military dying over there to support their land theft and be the bully for their grudges and aspirations of more land. Hope you like war crimes because thats the only thing on the menu, and you all have insisted we eat here, this election and in all the elections that follow until this place shakes itself apart or becomes isolated like North Korea. We should all just learn Hebrew now so we can take the Israelis orders more effectively.
