    It’s a bit ridiculous that the DMCA is being used to prevent people from repairing their equipment in the first place.

      The DMCA is an infringement of property rights (actual ones, not Imaginary Property “rights” that are actually just temporary privileges) and should not exist at all.

      Not really particularly ridiculous. It’s exactly the kind of evil it was designed for. Just a broader application than advertised.
