Your question isn’t dumb. You just haven’t been exposed to the environment. Please feel free to ask any question about this you have and, if I don’t answer, someone else probably will.

If you install the Linux version of Steam, it should allow you to download any game. There’s a checkbox in the Steam settings that says something like “run non compatible games through proton” (not what it says, but the general sentiment). Checking that and restarting Steam once is the extent of the setup required; after that, it’s essentially the same process as running a game in Windows (with the few exceptions mentioned by another commenter). Non Steam games should be able to be run by Lutris, PlayOnLinux or adding a non Steam game to Steam, but I mostly haven’t done that myself so I can’t vouch for it. Sincerely, for most games, it’s an easy process.

While I very strongly agree with your message, I have to say that this is one of the least fitting usernames I’ve ever seen.

For the first half of the first sentence of your post, I thought you were taking about Neuralink.

Admittedly it’s been a long time since this was relevant to me, so this may have changed, but where and when I grew up in the US you could get a learner’s permit (unlimited driving with another qualified driver in the car) at 15 yrs and 9 mos, then a full license (able to drive by yourself and transport anyone over 18) at, I think, 16 and 6 mos. At 18 the restrictions on whom you could transport disappeared, but I’ve never heard of anyone paying attention to or enforcing those rules anyway.

There may also have been a restriction about driving after midnight, but I don’t recall for sure.

Just a guess, but probably some kind of “emergency broadcast” type of thing?

I think this individual was going for lower hanging fruit (and presumably hoping for lighter consequences if they got caught, though I’m not sure that’s what they would have gotten).

In this case, after talking to neighbors, it seemed like they were just going down the street, briefly stopping at each driveway, breaking into whatever cars they could, quickly going through the glove compartment and center console, and stealing anything they perceived to be of value.
