Yes, unless you vpn to home of course.
I haven’t done extensive research, but as it’s a paid product, they have the user’s interest in mind, instead of ad revenue.
I switched to DDG and then to Kagi based on all the praise it gets here. So much better than Google!
Via RD it won’t use torrents. It will download it directly from their servers. RD isn’t free though, couple of euros per month.
Why not use Stremio with Realdebrid, then you don’t need a vpn :)
I’ve got a QNAP. Relatively happy with it, as it’s easier to manage than DIY, but it’s hard to migrate to a different brand as the RAID implementation is proprietary, so can’t just plug the disks in a different brand. First NAS lasted about 7 years until it was too slow, new one is about 5 years and still going strong.
DIY gives you more flexibility, but also more maintenance.
Not sure what site that is you’ve linked, but the official site seems to be this one: https://freetubeapp.io/
It works perfectly with Libredirect. Thank you!
Yes, you will get banned if you use it simultaneously.
I can’t see any downsides. I’ve switched recently from an *arr stack to Stremio and can’t be happier. Even with all the automation, I found it annoying that I first had to download something before I could watch it, after which Bazarr had to download subtitles (which only happens every couple of hours) and Kodi had to be updated before it was visible there. And downloading obvious requires storage.
Stremio also works across devices which is awesome. I bookmark shows on the go and watch it in the evening on my CCWGTV.
We’ve already noticed that we enjoy watching media more.
What about Chromecast Google TV 4k? I just got one and loving it. Installed Stremio and SmartTube and works great. Got a custom launcher as the default one focuses a lot on streaming services. Also tried Kodi but seems worse than my dedicated Vero 4k with OSMC / Kodi.
Haha yes looks like it. I only have 1 server (to be bought) and a RPI, which should be sufficient. Proxmox seems overkill for that scenario; I’ll just run Docker. Thanks.
