I’ve never liked that nickname, just because muskrats are pretty cool and don’t deserve to be brought down to that shithead’s level.

I guess when/if I buy another car, I’ll look into gov’t fleet auctions.
Remember when gov’t banned Furbies (sp?) in some places? Seems like they would make the same decision for a lot of people in important positions regarding their car purchasing.
That was hilarious.
I’m OK with grants for certain things/times/whatever. But it seems like if the owner is worth billions and comes to the gov’t for a handout, the gov’t should just tax them correctly and say,“No you.”
Just Doctorow’s enshitification in action.

Thanks for the post. Something on my browser only shows the pie charts and doesn’t let me scroll down.
It just gives current stats, not historical trends. I don’t think it is any answer to OPs question.
EDIT: I was wrong, it was an issue on my side.
I’d just keep a couple different copies and then copy them every 5-10 years, or as new technology comes along. Maybe something like this will be available for consumers in the near future.
That’s fair. Can’t seem to build big things either. Or maintain what we have. High speed rail. Roads and Bridges. Basically all infrastructure. And of course the major issues that hold back the entire society. Cost of education, healthcare, housing, transportation. These are all reasons for my statement that we can’t get our shit together. Aside from not being able to efficiently build cheap electronic consumer goods.
The US just can’t seem to get its act together. And the near/mid-term isn’t looking better.
Weird. I haven’t experienced that before.
Just block them? I block people all the time. It really makes for a better experience.
Sounds like the walking is the real positive impact. Farting is just a fun aside.
This is their big play? It doesn’t need to be one bond. I read that those companies have a $100 million limit on bonds. Trump needs to put up several bonds. Or just use his yuge pile of cash he says he has. Or hell, double down on the lies and lose his holdings.
They’re the airplane manufacturer in the US at that scale. There is zero chance the gov’t will let them fail.
If Boeing stock drops another $30 or so, I’m going to have to buy some.
