The repeated requests for direct, absolute, concise answers that never go into any detail or have any caveats or even suggest that complexity may exist show that it’s purpose is to be a religious catechism for Maga. It’s meant to affirm believers without bothering about support or persuasion.

I do encourage you to rent one. I like driving, too, and I just didn’t think it was a good experience. But I didn’t really fool around with the programs. It’s interesting at least.

It’s possible drivers who care have figured it out, but there is at least a very large learning curve.

I’m not disagreeing, but having driven a Tesla for a couple weeks-- it’ll make a good driver look bad every time. Turning radius is surprisingly bad. Normal (through the window/mirror) visibility is bad. Handling is super weird and probably unlearnable in the default settings because the car seems to be constantly “correcting” your inputs even when not in autopilot. The default break style gives me motion sickness even when I’m the one driving. And the turn signals-- you just don’t know how long they’ll stay on, so I did start to feel reluctant to use them?

So this is exactly what’s happening in your grocery store, only online I think the annoyance comes from the slim chance you can get around it if you try hard enough and the lack of instinct when dealing with pictures and text instead of real objects.

The above description would fit many many circumstances that are not furry related or problematic at all. Saying “I’m a cat. no, really” or meowing or licking your hand would all fit that description, (except not really because the word anthropomorphic is used wrong), but don’t mean a person is a furry. Moreover these behaviors by themselves don’t cause any problems unless you imagine a bunch of other stuff that’s not included in this definition.

So it is an overbroad law that allows prosecutors to apply it selectively and at the same time is very hard to defend against.

A better definition for the purpose of the law would describe some behavior that actually causes damage to society, like disrupting class or arresting kids at school for saying they are a cat.

A better definition of a furry would probably include some kind of pattern of behavior and the extent to which it impacts daily life, as here
