It’s just that it’s incredibly wasteful/polluting.
Which actually makes it illegal in some countries, too
Hi, I’m Miss Brainfart.
I’m afraid of sharks, with the exception being blåhaj. What could that possibly mean, huh.
(That’s not a hint, I genuinely have no idea)
Lemmings can also find me @miss_brainfart:catgirl.cloud on Matrix, if they desire to do so for e2ee reasons

It can pull weight at 4k, but I’m not sure if that is justification to slam it for not having the memory for 4k.
There are many games that cut it awfully close with 12GB at 1440p, for some it’s actually not enough. And when Nvidia pushes Raytracing as hard as they do, not giving us the little extra memory we need for that is just a dick move.
Whatever this card costs, 12GB of vram is simply not appropriate.
Ubisofts wet dream, yes
I don’t intend to blame them, I’m just making an observation.
The fact that they don’t know is a problem in itself too, and spreading awareness about cybersecurity and teaching general tech literacy and common sense is not done as much as it should be.
It’s exactly like you say. They don’t know, and how would they? No one is ever giving them the information they need.
Can Disney just ******* ***** ** ***** already
You’re right, most people either don’t care, or don’t even know enough to care in the first place.
And that’s a huge problem. Yes, companies have some responsibility here, but ultimately it’s the user who decides to use the service, and how to use it.
Combatting symptoms is nice and all, but ideally you’d want to remove the reason these symptoms exist in the first place.
And if even Meta agrees to do it, there’s no excuse left, is there
True, that’s an option too. Just not one you can trust as much, which is what turns me off.
Not being identifiable is kinda the point of Piped, so an official YT login will never be a thing, I’d assume
Oh well, having aurora store installed for one single app isn’t worth it to me. My second lens is for night mode shots, and I barely use that. It’s just nice to have access to it at all.
So I just installed the default lineage cam again, and would you look at that, it can use both lenses on my OnePlus 5T. Would love to have more manual controls though.
Thank you so much for reminding me this app exists
Do you mean simplemobiletools? OpenCamera is not part of that, I believe theirs is called Simple Camera
Now that you say it, I’ve never thought about the default cam, I’ve always been using OpenCamera
Such a shame that this kind of issue is a thing in the first place. I’d love to use a Fairphone and slap DivestOS on it, but potentially losing two lenses I paid for isn’t great at all
Is e os able to use all the camera lenses? That’s one problem I have with custom roms, they’re often unable to hook into the camera API in order to use anything other than the main back and front camera
The specs are not worth 700€
That’s what those specs are worth if everyone who’s part of it gets compensated for their work appropriately.
Imagine the price of a Galaxy S23 if Samsung actually was fair to everyone involved.
The simple information when you receive a notification for a specific app can be combined with a whole lot of other info about you that’s being collected by big tech and/or governments.
Time stamps are a surprisingly telling trail.
then lose their goddamned backed-up files
Now obviously that shouldn’t happen in the first place, but if a backup disappearing is a problem for a user, then that user didn’t do their backups correctly.
But yea, fuck Google. Like, with a chainsaw. Sideways.
Asking as someone who doesn’t know anything about any of this:
Does more B mean better?
