I tried then first N characters of my password until I found out the threshold was at 8, then I tried with the first 8 chartacters of my password and then random junk and it worked.
I also had two friends in the same bank to validate

a previous bank used to have a max password length of 8 characters, then proudly announced that they will increase it to 32
Then I made a typo at the end of my password and it let me in anyway, and I realised they were just trimming the first 8 characters to give the illusion of security
no no no, that was just Apple being brave /s
That’s exactly the point I don’t get. Every single mouse I owned, I’ve replaced it because something physically broke. My previous mouse (Logi btw) was replaced because the scroll wheel and middle click stopped working, no software or firmware update would amend that!
everyday I’m thankful that Musk is not an US born citizen and cannot run for office. It’s the only thing stopping him
message editing is an odd one, several times I’ve edited a message and not seen the change reflected on my other devices for hours at the time. Makes me wonder if my recipient get the updated message with a massive delay as well.
Teams also sets itself to autostart with Windows, even if you choose not to, or diabale it from the startup manager, it overrides it upon next launch.
It’s the only software I’ve ever seen doing that crime against humanity.
be respectful to Ladas, they can survive a carwash
we were happy and we didn’t know it
can confirm, when I used to work for a government contractor, everything was HP. From laptops to servers, from mice to printers.
I’ve seen some anime releases where they had separate mka files for different languages and a little script to attach whatever dub you want into it. It is technically possible already, but super rare
In order to use the resizable BAR/SAM feature, you need a compatible CPU and GPU. This would make it possible to use older CPUs but you’ll still need a compatible GPU which I think it’s series 2000 and newer for nVidia, so no.
edit: technically you also need a compatible motherboard, but seems like most of them are, never hurts to double check
I have this one and I use it exactly as you describe, when 2 card are connected it recognise them both as separate drives.
So I can backup my camera photos (SD card) to the micro SD card just using my phone via the USB C port. Then I can connect it to my desktop computer with the USB A end.
Quite a nifty device

I had no idea about this, thanks for sharing
SanDisk has an entire line of USB C thumb drives, they are my to-go choice
The fact that they changed the default library view from playlists to a random mix of playlist, artists, albums and podcasts without the option to choose just one category is baffling. I’m all for user options, but not by taking user choice away
One of the main reasons I still pay for Spotify is because it is very cheap in my country, specially when splitting a family plan. However I noticed that the user experience has gone downhill over the past years.
I remember when I could seamlessly switch playback devices, from my car to my phone, to my computer and them a Chromecast almost instantaneously. Now I’m lucky if my devices recognise each other even if they are on the same network.
And if you have a poor internet connection, the app is near unusable because it tries yo grab online content first before checking whatever is downloaded. Time and time again I have to put my phone on aeroplane mode just for the main menu to load, it is so frustrating and this didn’t happen some 5-6 years ago
Damn, I just missed on the thong
I used to pay for Dropbox about a decade ago, I replaced it with a raspberry pi running syncthing with an USB drive attached to it
they still own the twitter trademark, that might be their biggest asset
