You’re completely missing the point. Making money doesn’t change the legality. YouTube was threatened by the RIAA before they even started showing ads. Displaying an image from a copyrighted work on an AI platform is not much different technologically than Voyager or even Google Images displaying the same image, and both could also be interpreted as “feeding you unlicensed content from others.”
i didn’t mean to exclude that option but rather thought it to be redundant since the result is the same.
“We have seen that you can embed viruses in the cartridges. Through the cartridge, [the virus can] go to the printer, [and then] from the printer, go to the network.”
Either this is complete bullshit or HP is over-engineering completely unnecessary vulnerabilities into their hardware. There’s no reason why a dumb ink cartridge (no DRM) would need any ability to send data to the printer other than very short messages (like a few bytes at most), so it should not be possible for an ink cartridge to give the printer a virus unless this vulnerability is the direct result of the new DRM-tracking additions.
So HP is either malicious or incompetent, and regardless of which it is, I can’t see myself trusting another of their products ever again.
And Huffman’s programming skills weren’t even that great because they quickly brought in Aaron Schwartz to make it all work, yet they always conveniently leave him off of the founders’ list.
The fact that it doesn’t work the same in every browser sounds a lot like anti-competitive fuckery.
How’d you do this from Mastadon?

Yet some psychos swear Dunkin’ has the best coffee.
I’m realizing now that I misread your reply as “some Christian beliefs” rather than “some ChristianS beliefs,” but I was never implying all Christians believe the same thing.
I’m just shocked that there aren’t a significant number of Christians watching Fox News that would be pissed that they are putting a psychic on and promoting the occult.

Hard disagree. The Bible has verses that condemn psychics and mediums, not that that has ever stopped them from rationalizing other acts, but the Bible is anti-psychic.
When I was a Methodist, my churches were all adamant that psychics and mediums were either con artists or were coordinating with evil spirits or the devil, and it was forbidden. Same with Catholics. Generally in my experience with all American Southern Christians and some northern ones too, the more devout they are, the more against the occult they are.
Their reply completely ignores your point about psychics contradicting Christian beliefs, and it’s absolutely shocking that Faux News watchers even tolerate it, let alone enjoy it.
The enshitification continues.

I’m so dumb that even after I read their comment, I still thought they were related until your admission made me reread their comment.
Yeah, no question they profile heavily in Texas. I’ve been pulled over for the same, but they get pretty trigger happy once they learn you have any sort of warrant, so your risk of death goes up exponentially when stopped with warrants. I had a cop come running at my drivers side door with his gun drawn as soon as he ran my plates and saw my warrant for unpaid speeding ticket.
Ha they sent me the same message, and while I was not booted as a mod, I led the protest effort in a few subs that I modded in and helped out over in Save3rdPartyApps. I didn’t delete my account, just went silent after resigning when other mods got cold feet as soon as it started to get real.
