Glad I took the plunge and installed mint linux, hasn’t been installed that long and I still use windows 10 for now. Still trying to get everything working, but yeah windows is going away if I have anything to say about it.
Easy solution. Don’t plug the tv into the internet.
Use it basically as a monitor. 🖕To the tv makers
Many movies a 40” display is good enough. There are a lot of movies where you do not get the impact without a full sized movie screen.

He tried and failed.
If he had successfully body slammed a killer whale and the whale returned the favor, would he have succeeded or failed?

Which is why I’ve been saying baby boomers AND their parents. Just like today the younger generation were putting pressure on the older generation
my point is still valid. the baby boomers (and their parents) fought for a lot of stuff and won and we are watching those things slip away. Roe v Wade was decided in 1973. which group of people fought for that? (and that’s just one example)
So many people hate the baby boomers but it was the boomers, and the previous generation, that fought for so many rights that we have. And this generation is doing everything they can to destroy what was fought for. It’s fucking sad. Roe v Wade (gone). Not having minors do jobs they really shouldn’t be doing (going away). Not have minors working long hours (going away). NLRB ( i don’t trust that the Supreme Court will find in the favor of the people). IVF (under attack). Gerrymandering getting worse, with no real way to stop it.
By this generation (I mean the groups that came after the boomers). Did some boomers create some problems? Yes. But Damn did they get some things right.
Many of us have been raising the alarm for years. And being told we are just fear mongering.
1,300 plus fees on top?
😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣
Thanks I’ll pass
Sometimes they are on an older package. Which means they have a much lower monthly bill. If they cancel and then sign back up, they now have a much higher monthly bill. So yeah, a single click actually is bad. But that doesn’t mean the button shouldn’t exist. That just means there should be a couple of prompts. For example, the first one is canceled. The second one is a a screen that shows what they are paying per month, With a section next to it, that shows what they would pay if they signed back up. Then that screen there are two buttons that says no I did not mean to cancel, and the other button that says yes, go ahead and drop the service. That actually makes sense. but I actually agree with the statement that a single button that says cancel and allows you to drop the service in one button is actually very bad.
Nah that won’t end badly
Law of unintended consequences. Get complacent thinking you have a fortune in stocks. Quality goes down. Stock value goes down. Have to work longer to make that money back.
where are people living that they have termination fees on cable tv? I am in Minnesota with Spectrum (previously charter (previously something else)) … I could call in tomorrow and drop the service and there wouldn’t be a termination fee. They would give me an option : use it for the rest of the billing period or just cancel it now and prorate the amount I’ve paid.
I’m not saying fees don’t exist. I’m just curious what companies are charging them and where these people live.

The simple answer is “REFUSE TO BUY THE SHIT!”
It is literally that simple. I can’t think of a single person that HAS to buy a NEW car. Keep what you have or buy used. Tell the dealerships and auto makers to fuck off! Explain why a person ever has to buy a NEW car.
As long as people are stupid and buy it the auto makers WILL continue on this path.
Your math is off. It’s closer to 67 years ago. You forgot to carry the 2
