Me
Man, at 55 I will be still running ironman’s… Hopefully. And trails. Let’s keep arthritis for the 70’s, shall we?
Usenet is fast and very convenient, but very little content in my language, so… Not sure will renew subscriptions when they expire.
Check this wiki, specially the torrebt and Usenet pages… Then you can wither follow the practical installation pages or ignore and find some docker only guides.
Summit. Neat, simple and clear. Updated very often and I simply love it.
You have the older one then
Mine does av1… So?
Amazon firestick pro.
Its a law where I live…
You need two instances of radarr
Go Av1, much better support: all recent amazon fire sticks support it, I am am using one and loving it.
Jellyfin ofc
H264 is great, but h265 is basically feels like a dead end. Av1 instead is picking up lots of steam. I am betting on it instead of h265.
Not really, I don’t do GPU encoding anyway so can’t say first person.
But everybody says so on all forums so maybe its true.
I got an amazon fire stick, all the new ones support av1 and all android devices from A14 must support av1 too.
On PC vlc plays it just fine too.
Indeed, but YMMV and to me quality is still good if source was not a remix but a top quality encoding
Some notes: Don’t use GPU to reencode you will lose quality.
Don’t worry for long encoding times, specially if the objective is long term storage.
Power consumption might be significant. I run mine what the sun shine and my photovoltaic picks up the tab.
And go AV1, open source and seems pretty committed to by the big players. Much more than h265.
In my experience, you always gain space savings going av1 from 264 and 265 as well. For me its always been significant savings at the same quality level.
Ofc YMMV and use a very recent ffmpeg with the best av1 libraries.
Go AV1… In my direct experience the space saving is simply amazing at the same quality.
265 doesn’t seems to be the future since all Android are going to support AV1 by mandatory from A14.
Its for lucky people without CG-NAT which today means people from USA mostly…
My internet speed doesn’t allow for this unfortunately. On Usenet I can reach 1mb/sec when lucky. And 6Tb of stuff takes time to find and download again.
OK, I installed tdarr and… Well, not impressed. Quite messy, low quality UI and… Paid features. Meh
Tomorrow will try Unmanic, feels much more refined, I will see.
Nothing against “paid” in tdarr, just doesn’t seems worthwhile given the low quality of the UI.
I am sure I am judging the book by the cover, but hey, even the Unmanic documentation feels better.
I already have my arrs, but often I find difficult to locate it in my native language, while Amazon Prime has them all, in my native language.
Another way would be to find the Italian audio track and put it on an english movie…
(I also have Usenet, but Italian content there is even worse than torrents)
