Probably because America bad, eat the rich.
It would only work if it was still a massive privacy invasion. They either feed you ads or sell your data, they’re not going to offer a service that can’t at least do one of those.
Productivity is actually a bad thing, in the current economy increases in productivity has a positive correlation with increases in poverty. Look at how groceries are more expensive than ever while self-checkout only becomes more pervasive.
Wow is that really what the Apple campus looks like? That’s hilarious. Like if Nintendo HQ was a big warp pipe.
I didn’t even realize that was supposed to be the same RED until your comment. The phone is actually pretty great for the price.
Just read it wrong since Google was mentioned right before the start of the final sentence
Cool I’ve discovered my newest fetish.
I’m continually astonished how I thought grunt-work IT jobs would fade away as my generation and younger aged into the workforce becoming ever more technologically literate. Then the iPhone my rich friends bought in highschool became the new standard for interfaces.
Now I’m helping people several years younger and much older than me navigate the machines they use for their jobs.
They say technology tends to eliminate lower skill jobs. But actually it often transmutes a high skill job into several lower skill jobs. Often without reducing the actual skill required in any way.
All this because Capcom heard that a Street Fighter tournament participant was using a nude mod for Chun-Li. Just blacklist him and move on, let me keep my flashlight lasers on dropped materials in MH:W please.
It’s amusing to me that Japan is somewhat of a forecast to economic crises and social obstacles for much of the world. They were grappling with sub-prime lending fiascos before it was generalized to the rest of the world too
I’m also trying to find the angle on it. Like with my ISP I guess someone could have my password but not necessarily my address? So from the ISP site they could peek at my address??? I’m not even sure it has my address unobfuscated but I figure it must somewhere, like “view this bill”.
It’s not about putting people out of work, it’s about making the people you’re selling to work for free. Bananas aren’t any cheaper so I see no reason to use self-checkout
You’re obligated to do it too. They used to pay baggers and it was a separate job from cashiers. Now you play at both, super part time, and with all the money they’re saving they graciously raise the price on everything.
Yeah there’s a bit of similarity to pursuing a “romance route” in a video game. Funny to think that it’s more acceptable to fuck a fake bear in Baldur’s Gate 3 than to have weekly conversations with a bot that pretends to understand your written words.
I suppose the key difference being that my wife in Skyrim is more akin to a one-night stand since she can’t reciprocate my notes of affection.
Usually percussion is where it’s easiest to notice the difference. But typically people prefer the relatively more compressed sound!
PBS is actually better than ever and I prefer it over most of what gets shoved in my face on my PC.
Performing work to the specification of compensation while respecting my free time. Astounding that doing my job is somehow analogous to quitting if I’m not providing even more unpaid benefit to my employer by one or more metrics.
This is actually important for promotions and raises too. Gotta laugh to keep from crying
